About Me:
Kathryn West was born and raised in the Atlanta area. She completed her undergraduate education at Dartmouth College where she majored in neuroscience and minored in studio art. From there, she obtained a master’s degree in physiology at Georgetown University before entering medical school at Emory University. She then moved to Charlotte, NC to complete her residency in emergency medicine at Carolinas Medical Center where she served as chief resident. After completing residency in 2016, she joined the faculty at Carolinas Medical Center as an assistant professor. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their two daughters, and their extended family in the Atlanta area. She is excited to join Georgia Emergency Medical Services.
